Monday 22nd October
Monday I went to work at John Love Electrical. Work= money, which is good, and I love working there with my dad anyway. I actually look forward to going. Luke spent time at his parents house doing some things he needed to get done. MORE unpacking that night and things were starting to look a little more homely, though still really messy due to the boxes. I can tell that unpacking that really not Luke’s thing, but we powered on. Grocery shopping that night was fun. I had had the foresight to save a reasonable amount of money before we left for now, and that came in handy. We didn’t need to worry too much about the total cost- we just got what we needed. I had done up a menu for the week and a shopping list as well, so I knew what we were getting!! I would definitely recommend saving up a bit of money, maybe $500-600 for when you get home. That way, if you haven’t been paid holiday pay while you were on honeymoon you have money to pay the next week’s rent, and also money to buy the necessary items that no one bought you as gifts.
Tonight I did make dinner, and it was easy enough. Pasta bake with a cheesey bottled sauce and hot chook from woolies in it. Yum.
