The Weekend

Ah, what a rushed, busy weekend it’s been! I know I don’t usually give you a grill down about what I did during the weekend, but I thought that this was worth noting.

Friday night was youth. Both Luke and I were quite tired, but it was a great night watching the Samoan YWAM team. They tore phone books in half, firetwirled inside, and did traditional dances from various islands all over the pacific.

Saturday morning I finished off Luke‘s b’day cake and made some nibblies for his Skydive!! As we were on our way there they called us to say that it was cancelled due to too much wind!! But we had the birthday party part anyway. Lots of fun. Luke will skydive another day. :-) Photos of the day HERE.

Saturday arvo we watched The Terminal, and got ready for engagement party that we went to, but didn’t go in to. We werent’ 100% sure if we were meant to come, and then everyone was sitting down, and yeah…. long story short we didn’t go. So we just went home and slept for a long time.

Sunday was Clean Up Australia day for Church. We went to the Buderim Caravan Park, and a few of the people who live there helped us out!! Took some photos with the kids and realised that they probably don’t have their own digi camera… While I was up there I realised a lot that I am so lucky, and really do have a LOT. We brought some of them back for the bbq at church, but then Luke and I had to head. I met his old teacher, Tom Huelet, who is now a councellor. Photos HERE.

So we went to M&D’s house and then went down the shed to do some more flooring!! Nana came down to help as well and she gave me a pumpkin and told me how to start me own pumpkin vine. Was thinking if I get a spare arvo one day during the week I will go and whipper snip where I want to put my pumpkins and start planting them now so they’ll be more ready for when we move in!! Phots of building HERE.
