Deegan’s Quilt

Back in December my cousin gave birth to a beautiful little boy, Deegan.

For the last few weeks she’s been down here on the coast, and all her family (and extended family) members have been able to smother him with love and cuddles! In fact, he came to craft group this morning and instead of finishing off my Project Linus kids quilt I just babysat Deegan! He is so precious and happy to be passed around! On the weekend Luke even had a hold of him. I’m not sure he’d believe me, as he looked a bit nervous, but he was a quite a natural!

His grandma (my Aunty) asked me to free motion quilt around the animals on a panel that she’s turning into a quilt. I was a bit nervous about it (cause I’m still learning), and it wasn’t the neatest job in the world, but in the end i think it turned out pretty well!

That’s a very cute quilt you did a great job, I’m way to nervous to venture into the world of quilting.

You did a great job! It’s a beautiful quilt. The free motion really makes each animal stand out.
