How To Delete Your Facebook Account

I’m not really sure why you would want to do this, unless you had accidentally made two. This is what happened to Rachel, and so this post is for her- so there’s no more two account confusion!!

Step 1: Log into the facebook account you want to delete. Before you delete you might want to request the friendship of anyone you want to remain friends with.

Step 2: Click on “Settings” in the top right hand corner, next to log out. This will bring up a drop down menu. Select “Account Settings”.

Step 3: A big grey box will appear. At the bottom is ‘Deactivate Account’ select this.

Step 4: You’ll need to confirm that you want to deactivate. Fill out the feedback and select “Deactivate My Account”. This is as far as I’ve ever gone, so I’m not sure if you have to confirm via email etc. Let me know in the comments if there’s anything I’ve missed!

Thanks for visiting my site again! keep checking back for more updates!

How to make a Felt Phone Cover

The other day I made a few prototype phone covers for my iPhone. I’m also making one for my friend Rachel’s Samsung (I THINK it’s a samsung! All that really matters is that it’s 5 1/2 x 10 1/2 cm…!) soon. It was SO easy to make. It’s excellent for your phone because the felt is beautiful and soft- so it keeps those screens clean, and scratch free, it’s pretty, personalised, and a bit different!

I chose to embroider free-hand. Its easier on felt them trying to draw, and copy.

Choose something meaningful to you. Im Sunshinetalia, so I chose to put the sun on it!

Your phone should fit in snuggly- no looseness, or it might fall out.

I’ve made up a project sheet, which you can download here.

I also have an etsy shop, it’s new (well, I made it a while ago- Dec 06 to be exact, but have only just gotten round to putting things in it!), and the only thing you can buy in it is this! But please specify what patterns you want on the front and back so I can make it how you want!

Podcasts and Apprenticeships

So I have started my dive into using podcasting. I am not entirely sure how well my apprentices will respond to it, but am hoping for the best.

So my new podcasts are available here.

podcast-site.jpg

My process for submitting podcasts.
1. Find out where to host them, and some general info about podcasts.
I had to find out about how people watch podcasts if they don’t have an iPod and how people download them.

2. After I uploaded them I had to go about working out the kinks- put in pictures, etc. I am not happy with the embed feature of podomatic- it moves it to the top right hand corner of the screen, not in the post, which is annoying. i tried manipulating the code, but to no avail.

As far as photos go, I have decided to just take people’s photos from Flickr and credit them for it in the description. I think that this is a nice way of giving them a little plug for their photos, and also using something free.

3. Register podcast, which I have done with iTunes and that’s all. I don’t know if I will bother with the others, because this isn’t something that I necessarily want lots of randoms watching, it’s really for a specified audience (but I definitely don’t mind if others watch them).

4. I guess my ‘last’ step is notifying everyone. So I have posted it on the apprentice website, and also on the training site. When people come in I will tell them in person as well.
