Re: Menu Plan
Yeah, re: the menu plan? It went pretty down hill after Tuesday when we RAN OUT OF GAS!! So I pretty well have all of those meals on the menu to still make this week! To fill in the week we enjoyed a night out, and some take-away Thai Frenzy (mm… thai frenzy….) oh, and did I mention that on Wednesday morning when we realised we were out of gas, we still had PEOPLE COMING OVER FOR DINNER THAT NIGHT?! Crazy. They still came, and I conquered the electrical cooking thing!
I did a bit of modifying of Zoey’s risotto in the rice cooker, and also did some pre-cooking at M&D’s. I wasn’t 100% sure how this risotto would turn out, considering when I put in the 1.25L of stock, my rice cooker was full and yeah, it was like twice as much liquid as I normally put in….
But it turned out AMAZINGLY! Like, I will probably never make risotto the regular way again! If anything I put the vegies (pumpkin and sweet potato) in a little too early and they were too squishy, but it was seriously yum anyway! PERFECT rice from this little trick! Have a bit of a try. I used 1 cup of rice and it served 4 people. It was enough for me, and hopefully enough for everyone else too!
Also, on another note, This is a link to an a pretty cool conversion chart for recipes that aren’t designed for the slow cooker. So now you don’t have to wonder how long to cook it for!
Thanks for visiting my site again! keep checking back for more updates!

Menu Plan
Yep, you read right- a menu plan, on this blog, not the blogger one! I’ve decided to somewhat boycott the other one, and just keep everything here. It seems easier. Particularly because Luke and I do our restaurant reviews there too- it’s probably best to keep all the reviews on a separate blog to my recipes and menus!
So here we are. So far we’ve stuck to the plan for Monday and Tuesday. I can’t wait to show you the recipes, because the sweet potato ravioli we had last night was TO DIE FOR. SO good. Even if I do say so myself.
M: Chicken Pie
T: Sweet Potato Ravioli
W: Pumpkin & Feta Pasta Bake
Th: Chicken Marsala with Banana & Caramel Pudding for dessert (guests are coming over)
F: Date
S: Mac & Cheese- Gibson style
S: Nothing/Something
M: Fish & Chips
T: Indian Dosas
W: Breakie Burger- I’m going to test out vegetarian bacon!
Th: Simple pasta
F: date
S: Something I inevitably didn’t make in these two weeks!
S: Something/Nothing
