I have a most amazing husband… Today while I was off working he made me this for my garden!

I thought it was so great, and I feel so lucky to have someone who thinks of me and does special things for me! I wanted him to be my guest blogger, and tell you all how he made it, but he declined… he said you can all make it yourselves using the instructions he found on instructables. So I’ve linked to them here.

I’ve only had this for a few hours now, but I’ve already planted Thyme and Pepermint in the top two tiers! I think they’ll do well there- in the shade a bit. They don’t so much like the harsh soil, and harsher sun in the back garden.

I’d love to know if you make one of these yourself! What do you like to plant your herbs in?

A pictures says a thousand words, so here are some pictures of my new garden.

Here are some tomato babies!!

Some other tomatos live in the garden part. They’re here. Also in here is a cucumber plant next to it (hard to see), and on the bottom level is lettuce, basil and tyme.

Close up of the baby lettuce!! SO cute!

We had a problem with the side of our house- it is majorly ugly. It’s tin, so we can’t put dirt up against it or it’ll rust, and we can’t dig out the dirt already there, cause it’s REALLY hard. SO we’ve put these tires there.

They look pretty cool next to each other (goes with the tin look), and will look better when there’s more of them.

They’re full of soil, so the roots can mess around in there for a while, and then when they’re stronger they can make it down into the hard soil.

Lemon basil and cute flowers by the door.

My zuchini plant! They’re yellow zuchinis and are grwoing swimmingly. I’m actually going to pretty well leave these to scurry all over the feild…

These photos and more on facebook here.
